New Threads

Key takeaway of the day:

  • Something new creates speed, but habits maintain direction

A few questions for you

Think of something you really want and pull out a piece of paper, or just think to yourself.

What would it feel like to have what you want?

Why do you want it? Write at least a sentence here.

Dig deeper. What do those things mean to you? Write at least a sentence here.

Deeper. Why do you want what you just wrote about? Write at least a sentence here.

Deeper again. Why do you want what you just wrote about? Write at least a sentence here.

Repeat until there’s nothing left. That’s your why.

About me

Hi 👋 my name is Laura Mai and I’m a marketing consultant looking to make ethical marketing easy. I’m currently doing Alex Hormozi’s 100 day content challenge.

Every day (except Sunday per my religion) I will be doing this challenge and sharing the good, the embarrassing and the enlightening.

Day 41

Time spent Yesterday: 100 minutes + ✅

What I made:

Happy New Year! I’m currently at a Starbucks in Cozumel with my mom doing some work. We’ve been on a cruise ship for the past week and it’s my first chance I’ve gotten to be with my laptop to film proper GMAT content. I’ve spent the past 40 minutes recording problems to edit later.

I didn’t make it to 12 last night, did you? I haven’t made it to midnight the past few years.

Because I like going to bed early. There’s no part of me that wants to stay up, the only reason I would is for other people. When I realised this, I stopped staying up. I realised I would much rather get a good night’s sleep, and wake up at 6am to get a workout in. That sets the tone for my year because that’s who I want to be.

Struggles and what went well

My main struggles are inspiration and motivation. I’m just going through the motions, doing what I have to. I’m on vacation. There are moments where I feel excited, but they’re few and far between.

What went well:

I really like the blog post I wrote today about when to give up one someone. It was also good to have access to my laptop yesterday in Cozumel, I have videos for the next few days for YouTube because of that.

I also started a threads challenge yesterday, which is like Instagram’s Twitter. I’ve enjoyed this, I find I like sinking my teeth into new things. So far, threads has been fun.

The end

If you're enjoying this content challenge sign up to my emails to make sure you don't miss a post! You don't wanna miss what happens next because I have little fear of social rejection and the personality of an outgoing American Dad 😂.
