I’m adding another layer to this challenge

Hi 👋 my name is Laura Mai and I’m your happy healthy travelling marketing consultant. My goal is to make ethical marketing easy.

Nineteen days ago I started a challenge set by Alex Hormozi in his training on acquisition.com to spend 100 minutes on content every day for 100 days.

Every day (except Sunday per my religion) I will be doing this challenge and sharing what I learned that you can apply.

If you’re not already, make sure you sign up for my email list so you don’t miss a post!

Day eighteen:

Last week I opened up about struggling with my self-worth. So… I’m adding another layer to this challenge. It’s a lifestyle layer.

Every day in addition to 100 minutes of content I will be adding PRES to my daily routine.

Prayer 5 times a day (you could do gratitude if not religious)

Reading - reading scripture or other nonfiction book three times a day (I’m going by chapter but scripture chapters are only 1-2 pages)

Exercise - 20 minutes of strength based exercise

Service - one act of service for someone every day

I’ll be recording this in a section of my blogs from here on out.

Time spent Monday: 130 minutes

What I made:

-2 Tik toks (30 minutes)

-2 blogs (60 minutes)

-1 posts for my poetry page (10 minutes)

-2 LinkedIn posts (20 minutes)

-Instagram post and stories (5 minutes)

-Additional emails and posting on different pages (5 minutes)

Struggles:

I am just so tired! Ah!!! I’m barely making it through my days and the content I’m making isn’t as inspired as I’d like.

I feel a bit better today but this stomach bug really got to me. I’m hanging on but it’s been a tough few days.

I don’t feel like I’ve made much progress. Some of my LinkedIn posts got 0 likes/ responses.

What went well:

I’m finding my voice and becoming more authentic on camera. I’m becoming less embarrassed of myself and who I am through this. I’m hiding less of what I really stand for and rooting in my values.

I am researching and learning in an attempt to figure out how to get better.

I know I’m getting stronger in my content even if it doesn’t feel that way.

Key takeaways of the day:

  • If you aren’t reaching your potential, don’t retract, step into responsibility

  • I am more accountable when I make commitments in from of other people and set challenges

  • Strength comes from training when there hasn’t been a win in while, when you’re tired and when you just don’t feel like it

  • The more you know who you are the better you can be you in front of others

If you're enjoying this content challenge sign up to my emails to make sure you don't miss a post! You don't wanna miss what happens next because I have little fear of social rejection and the personality of an outgoing American Dad 😂.
