Hi 👋 my name is Laura Mai and I’m a travelling marketing consultant looking to make great marketing mainstream.
Ten days ago I started a challenge set by Alex Hormozi in his training on acquisition.com to spend 100 minutes on content every day for 100 days. Every day (except Sunday per my religion) I will be doing this challenge and sharing what I learned that you can apply.
If you’re not already, make sure you sign up for my email list so you don’t miss a post!
Day Nine:
Yesterday was crazy! I’m still in Florence and made tons of new friends. I went around sight seeing and food eating and still managed to get in a bunch of work by the literal grace of God!
Here’s what I made:
Time spent: 240 minutes
What I made:
5 Tik toks (60 minutes)
1 blog (30 minutes)
1 posts for my poetry page (5 minutes)
2 LinkedIn Posts (15 minutes)
Instagram reel and stories (30 minutes)
Additional emails and posting on different pages (20 minutes)
Interviewed a best selling author (80 minutes)
Struggles:
The usual struggles are still there like being stuck on lower views and no strangers applying for the blog, but travelling solo has brought about a new set of challenges.
I made loads of friends yesterday and for the first time in a week wasn’t trying to outwork my loneliness.
It was hard to find time to work and even harder to find time in my room to make Tik Toks (there was always someone coming in and out).
I like staying in hostels for the social side of things but some points in the day I wish I got an Air BnB. I was also late to dinner because I was finishing up math, poetry and Spanish work, which are daily commitments I have to myself, but I'm glad I was late, I still ended up with the most amazing corn I've ever had.
What went well:
I had the interview with my favourite best selling author, I’ll tell you who it is now that it happened. It was Dan Ariely!!! The episode was super interesting because he asked the listener so many thought provoking questions.
The story on how we met is even crazier than me getting the interview itself but I'll save that for the video. The Matt Rife Tik Tok is also steadily increasing in views on Instagram.
Also I'm just really proud of the work I'm doing. The quality is getting better every day. I know the struggles seem to outweigh this section but the wins just feel so good.
Funny comments/ DMs
This is not the kind of lead I wanted!!!
Comments
There was a comment left on my Matt Rife Instagram that was thoughtless. I’m sure she’s lovely but I wanted to go into how I address people online. I don’t respond to every comment, but since coming back to the internet I try to.
I could ignore people with something negative to say, but I don’t want to lose the ability to listen and engage. I totally get why bigger creators don’t give a flip anymore, it’s really tough not to disassociate.

Key takeaways of the day:
always plan for peace of mind. I am so happy I booked that conference room
People you like can impress you in person if you like the right people
I don’t have to ignore haters
