Good friends or good content?

Hi 👋 my name is Laura Mai and I’m a marketing consultant looking to make ethical marketing easy. I’m currently doing Alex Hormozi’s 100 day content challenge.

Every day (except Sunday per my religion) I will be doing this challenge and sharing the good, the embarrassing and the enlightening.

If you’re not already, make sure you sign up for my email list so you don’t miss a post!

Day twenty one:

Today I’m leaving Lake Como, and saying goodbye to one of my closest friends for a while.

It’s been difficult to balance time with her and this challenge. I really want to make progress towards my dreams, but I will really miss Opri.

I managed to do both, but being a better friend won over getting a lot of great content. I don’t know if I’ll regret that choice, but work will always be there. Opri won’t.

Time spent Monday: 170 minutes

What I made:

-2 Tik toks (30 minutes)

-2 blogs (30 minutes)

-1 longer form video (15 minutes)

-1 posts for my poetry page (30 minutes)

-1 LinkedIn posts (20 minutes)

-Instagram post and stories (5 minutes)

-Additional emails and posting on different pages (5 minutes)

-content planning meeting (45 mins)

Struggles:

I had a content planning meeting in the middle of Milan, but Milan was so busy it was a struggle to find anywhere.

My posts are doing average which is expected given my efforts. I have some ideas in the pipeline but haven’t had a day to sit down and truly figure out how to film.

Fitting in work was difficult yesterday. I did early morning and late night working but I woke up today feeling really really tired. I’ve learned you can push through anything if you really want to. Your thoughts and feelings don’t matter as much as what you actually do.

What went well:

👏🏽We have so many blog posts to publish, and they’re all really well written. This has been a huge win and I’m so thankful.

😌 I also had a fun brainstorming creative meeting with another social media manager which helped me solidify a sketch idea

✨My Instagram has also been picking up steadily on views.

Lastly, I’m not sure if it’s because of the pres challenge but I feel more at peace today.

Key takeaways of the day:

- work will always be there, people won’t

-thoughts and feelings don’t matter as much as action

-creativity is improved through collaboration

If you're enjoying this content challenge sign up to my emails to make sure you don't miss a post! You don't wanna miss what happens next because I have little fear of social rejection and the personality of an outgoing American Dad 😂.
